Microrasbora Kubotai.

Classify: Actinopterygii.

subclass: Neopterygii.

Order: Cypriniformes.

sub-order:

Family: Cyprinidae.

subfamily: Danioninae

Kind: Microrasbora.

Species: Erythromicron.

Etymology:

Descriptor : Annandale 1918.

Synonym (S) or Common noun (S) : Rasbora emerald.

Origin : Asia (Myanmar). South Asia. Burma. Lake Inlé and small river environment.

Zone of life : Medium and inferior.

Maximum size: 2 to 2,5 cm.

Weight:

Life expectancy:

Temperature: 21°C to 25°C : and PH: 7,2 to 7,4. Hardness: 10 dGh to 25 dGh

Conductivity:

Description: is a small fish, one will rasbora dwarf which does not exceed 2,5 cm of long
adult and in a roomy aquarium “too”, it could pass well unperceived! Even today, it is not a common fish and there remains seldom proposed with the sale. However, its beauty and the interesting behaviour make a required fish of it. It is a fish with dominant pink-orange comprising a maximum of 15 bars (fascinators) green emerald all along with dimensions ones. A black spot comes to punctuate the base of the caudal stalk. The males let appear the orange red one in their fins, whereas the females have clear fins and are overall a little coloured. For its small size, Rasbora emerald presents a strong stoutness that gives him a squat aspect. Under good conditions, the green-emerald of its dress seems lit like neon but delimited by the brilliance of the fins. The sight of a group in good health gives this characteristic to the males to seem to dance between the many plants that the aquarium accommodating them must contain. It is a spectacle which you will not forget of as soon as. M. Erythromicron differs from M.Rubescens by a sideline made up of a lower number of scales (21-25 against 29-32). In addition, pectoral fins of M. Rubescens are prolonged until under the base of the pelvic fins, which is not the case at M.Erythromicron.

Anatomy:

Behaviour: Gregarious, active and peaceful Poisson. Association with other peaceful species of small size is perfectly possible

Nutrition: Omnivore. Various small alive preys and flakes. nauplies of artemia, the Grindal worms. The Microphone-rasbora accepts certain prepared foods (spangles), but this dry food must be small and the current of a small pump must animate them to make them interesting… They love the freeze-dried worms of vase, Cyclops freeze-dried or frozen. In all the cases, adapt the size of food.

Food of the larvae: like food microphone-orderly (infusorians and rotifers…). The best results are obtained by withdrawing vat the parents at the conclusion of the abrasion.

Dimorphism: The males are highly coloured and more end; the females are paler, the abdomen being more convex.

reproduction: The reproduction of this species is easy; at the time of the abrasion, these fish rub against the plants, with a predilection for the foam of java.

Bond of the forum on the reproduction of fish:

Difficulty: average maintenance, but tested.

The Council for the aquarist: Let us recall that the lake Inlet of origin of Rasbora is so clean and pure that it is imperative to resort to frequent water changes to maintain rates of the organic
pollutants (nitrates for example) to their minimum. An accumulation of nitrogenized waste quickly pushes to deteriorate the quality of the medium, and if that is not corrected quickly, the fish will die! They particularly appreciate (and even strongly) a planted aquarium and that has a direct involvement on their behaviour; indeed, if they know where to hide and feel safe, they tend to remain in full water and not to more try to melt itself in the decoration. A rich vegetable decoration is thus important!

Volume minimal of the aquarium and advised: 40 L.Aquarium whose periphery densément is densément planted; the natural creativity of fish grows blurred thus somewhat. Substrate made up of sand, some roots in decoration, leaving with fish a vast space to evolve/move.

Population density : a bench of 12 fish.

The Council for the fisherman:

Various : rare fish. Poisson sensitive to the diseases

Information: the cards of the fish may be by supplementing an experiment of the subject, or a comment misses concerning information on this card.
