Also named “Macropodous with red back” according to the reddish colour in the dorsal area. Synonym (S) or common noun (S): Macropodus sp “rotrucken” (sci), Bound thia (China), the macropodous one with red back (France) Origin: Asia, Vietnam, proximity of “dong hoi (Thailand) and of quang Binh. in India. Conductivité : en attente Description : Le corps est longiligne et épais, d'une couleur mélangé de cyan et de rouge au-dessous de la ligne latérale. Il diffère des autres espèces par une absence de tache operculaire. Sa caudale et fourchue et des taches rouges se forme sur les nageoires dorsales et caudales ainsi qu'un liseré d'une couleur rougeatre viens prononcé le dessus de ses nageoires (voir photos ci-dessus). Anatomie :Comportement : territorial et agressif. Nutrition : Omnivores, toutes les denrées alimentaires est acceptée, nourriture sèche ,congelée et vivante.Nourriture des larves :Dimorphisme : Les nageoires sont plus longues chez le mâle. Reproduction : Constructeur de nid de bulles (Reproduction Facile). Les poissons se reproduisent dans les aquariums même si le courants est fort. Le Mâle va construire un nid dans une région calme .Le nid peut être grand de15 cm de diamètre et atteindre 2 cm au-dessus du niveau de l'eau. Si la femelle est prête à s'accoupler ,elle deviendra blanche, et commencera à essayer d'atteindre le nid. Pendant un certain temps ,elle va être vigoureusement attaqué par le mâle ,jusqu'à ce qu'elle réussisse. Le compagnon ramasse les oeufs et les posera dans le nid. Ils peuvent avoir 300 oeufs .le mâle et la femelle en prenne soin jusqu'à la nage libre. Les oeufs éclosent en peu plus de 24h à 24°c et être en nage libre 3 jours plus tard.
